SERVICES
I offer consultation, second opinions, short- and long-term psychotherapy, and medication management.
Conditions that I treat include:
Unipolar depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, mixed anxiety and depression, adjustment reactions and stress-related conditions, OCD, PTSD, illness anxiety and somatic symptom disorders, ADHD, peripartum mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders secondary to medical conditions such as thyroid, neurological or autoimmune disorders.
Currently I see patients via telehealth but will soon plan to offer the option of in-person treatment at a Downtown Manhattan location as well as telepsychiatry or a hybrid.
Treatment will start with an intake, usually 45-60 minutes, and most patients should expect an extended consultation conducted over 2-4 sessions. This allows for a comprehensive evaluation in order to understand your current concerns as well as potential goals of treatment. The evaluation will include a thorough medical and psychiatric intake. After the consultation period we will review together our understanding of your problems and, if applicable, a differential diagnosis and possible treatment options. If I cannot provide the services that you require, I can offer guidance in how to obtain the appropriate treatment.
I do not participate in any insurance plans. Payment for treatment is required at the time of each visit unless other arrangements are made. Many patients have insurance plans with out-of-network benefits that will provide reimbursement for a substantial portion of fees. The necessary documents for reimbursement filings will be provided.
In some circumstances, we can discuss sliding scale payment based on your annual income.
